The Future Scares Me!

Well, I gave my notice at the print shop today. I told 'em I'd work part-time until the new lady gets up-to-speed, probably three weeks... Then I'll be on my own.

Gosh, I hope this works out! I'm scared spitless right now.

Ah you've wanted out of that place for EVER, so it's a good thing. You'll do great doing your own thing and have fun doing it. It's only scary NOW cos you feel like you're giving up some security but it'll pan out just fine. I know it! Just think of the aggro you're letting go. Now you might work long, hard hours but they're yours. YAY!

Hey, thanks guys! I'm in serious need of encouragement... I'm starting to stand a bit taller and a bit straighter already, but gosh is it spooky.

A link! A link! Thanks for the idea, Skylersdad! Boy, any help I can get is greatly appreciated!

www.hippieboydesign.com is what I'm doing now.

Good luck to you, sir. I hear panning for gold was one very profitable for folks.

Yay Chris! You go! My only advice, as a newly former biz owner, is to diversify with as many income streams as you can.

I wish I had the money to hire you, but I am on the opposite spectrum. Trying desperately to get a job to afford my next foray into self-employment. After jumping through all the hoops to find a job, I can't wait not to have one again.

Pistols: Thankee sirrah! A panning I shall go...

Leo: Diversify... So far most of my work has been in web design, but I'm really interested in photography at the moment. Photo gigs are rare hereabouts, though... I also do some other stuff, but not in much volume. Oh, Dagmar's doing peachy! She's feeling SO much better than she has been the last three or four years it's incredible!

All: This blogger community amazes me. *sniff* I really feel like I gots friends out there. *wipes a tear* You guys are serious cool.

Good Luck with your leap of faith. The best thing is that you'll be happy as you start each work day, which is worth more than money.

this will work because it has to. I did it for three years and there were some serious extremes of highs and lows, but I learned an incredible amount.

Go!
