The rules are there for a REASON
You know, de-regulation sounds all fine and dandy... until people start dying in mines and the banks start closing.

Um... it's already happening.
:o(
Yup. Thanks, GeeDub. I realize the packing plants are making more money now that they've cut back on inspections. Yeah, so a few people have died of salmonella, big deal, at least the guy who owns the plant can afford to have his penis dipped in gold... Oh, and the free market will drive the banking industry, we don't need to watch predatory lenders -- they're all good people, and it will be good for the economy if we just let them "do their thing." Oh, so a few subprimes got out of hand, no big deal. It's better to have the money in the hands of the banks' owners rather than the common man. Yeah, and we took the price controls off the oil industry, too. That should help the economy. The economy of all our friends who own oil companies anyway.
Grrrrr... The rules were there for a REASON. We had this stuff fixed. It all worked until the Bush administration started quietly lifting the rules that keep corporate greed under control...
I'm sorry. I'm grumpy in the morning. I shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion until after 10 a.m.
The apocalypse is near. Prepare.
I can have my penis dipped in gold?
Really?
How come I am just hearing about this?
I disagree, Chris.
I LIKE you before 10:00 a.m. SPEAK YOUR MIND, MAN!
And Skylersdad? I think you can buy them at Castle Boutique but they're "plated"... *note to those with nickel allergies*.
*giggle*
